Disabilitare Ubuntu Pro

Qualche mese ho fatto un post su come abilitare il servizio Ubuntu Pro per i nostri desktop e/o server ad uso personale. Anche se è possibile attivare il servizio gratuitamente per 5 dispositivi è facile raggiungere presto il numero massimo di attivazioni.  Inoltre, se per caso dismettiamo delle macchine senza aver prima sganciato il servizio Ubuntu Pro, non riusciamo più a recuperare quelle attivazioni. Infatti dalla pagina web di amministrazione si vede sempre e solo il numero massimo di macchine collegate .

Quindi per non esaurire presto le attivazioni è possibile disabilitare il servizio Ubuntu Pro tramite il comando pro detach.

alex@ubuntu ~ $ sudo pro detach
Detach will disable the following services:
    esm-apps
    esm-infra
    livepatch
Are you sure? (y/N) y
Updating package lists
Updating package lists
This machine is now detached.

Per verifica possiamo usare il comando pro status. Dalla pagina web invece sono necessarie 24 ore per vedere il numero di macchine che hanno contattato il servizio Ubuntu Pro.
